Ranger Design Co. is an Okanagan-based interior design company that focuses on intentional design. We are passionate about creating unique, sustainable solutions to design challenges while keeping health and wellbeing at the forefront. Utilizing a succinct 8-step design process, our clients can expect a fun and transparent experience from start to finish.

    We spend so much time in our spaces, so why not make them work for us? Our decision making in every project is driven by improving our clients’ health and wellbeing. This can be done by focusing on good quality air flow, utilizing and manipulating natural light, and implementing biophilic design solutions. Increasing our clients’ connection to nature, and enhancing their experience in their space, are our top priorities.

  • Intentional Design

    We believe that everything in your home should be there for a reason. To us, designing with intention means curating your space in a way that invokes feeling and ignites connection. We are inspired by Japanese and Scandinavian design, and practice wabi-sabi and hygge principles to every project. Approaching design in this way allows your space to become more than just a home or an office. It becomes an extension of who you are as a person or as a brand.

  • Community

    Working with our local vendors and suppliers as much as possible creates a stronger and more successful community for all of us. We get to know who we are working with so that we can ensure the best quality is provided. Sourcing locally, when possible, also contributes to a more sustainable future. When we support our community members, materials travel smaller distances, and our investment stays within our local economy.

About the Founder

Leah Penner
Owner | Principal Designer

 

Leah Penner was born and raised in North Vancouver. She developed a strong connection to nature from a young age, and is passionate about making small changes towards a more sustainable future. 

Leah has always had an entrepreneurial passion, so when she graduated from BCIT in Interior Design, Ranger Design Co. was born. Ranger is the name of the street she grew up on, a place where she was surrounded by nature and developed her love of being outdoors. Growing up with a geologist father and entrepreneurial parents instilled her admiration for what the earth is capable of, and became the inspiration for what RDCo. stands for.
